"The hunting for the Bison", based on the poem of Mikołaj Gusowski The Song about Bison, is a story about events which took place in Belarusian region in The Renaissance. There are vital characters from Polish history, such as Vytautas the Great, Queen of Poland Bona Sforza and even the author himself – Mikołaj Gusowski. This is a deep and bitter reflection about war and peace, life and death, punishment and mercy, a story about tragic fate of Belarusian region and its inhabitants. Under the top layer of the performance, there is a retrospective observation of the contemporary reality and understanding of the prophetic power of the poem word. In the performance there have been used the lyrics of folk songs and Belarusian legends.
